David Douglass, AIA is a state of Maine licensed architect and a National Council of Architecture Registration Boards certificate holder. David has 14 years of experience in new commercial design and construction as well as major renovation and historic renovation. He received his Bachelors of Architecture Degree from Wentworth Institute of Technology and has worked for two local architecture firms in the Portland area. David is an accomplished designer and has worked on many new construction projects including educational, healthcare, assisted living, retail commercial and repurposed existing historic buildings. As part of his experience he has a vast knowledge and experience with building systems and their integration. He enjoys the challenge of problem solving and developing solutions that arise during building and design. Developing cost effective solutions to complex problems has been a goal for him.
As a Project Architect and Project Manager David has the experience of coordinating and guiding teams of professionals through the entire design and building process. He has years of experience drawing, documenting and detailing projects for building owners and developers as well as coordinating project consultants work as well. During the building process he has worked with a variety of local and state officials and boards on behalf of project owners as well the National Parks Service and the General Services Commission.
